NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: MAFO Stockton TLJ FCs Daniel Villegas

November 7, 2019 – Los Angeles – MAFO Stockton TLJ FC midfielder Daniel Villegas has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.

Born in Toluca, Mexico, Villegas scored twice and had an assist in a 4-1 victory over Pajaro Valley United SC in a UPSL 2019 Fall Season Western Conference Wild West Division I game on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019. Villegas played 90 minutes as MAFO Stockton TLJ FC (2-3-2 overall) jumped into playoff position with the win.

Villegas previously played for Club America Premier in Mexico's professional first division. He currently has four goals in seven games for MAFO Stockton TLJ FC this season.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
