October 1, 2017 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) has named John Rexroat as Director of the league's new Women's Division Central Conference, which is slated to kick off in Spring 2019.

The newly-formed UPSL Women's Division Central Conference will initiate friendlies in preparation for the upcoming 2019 Spring Season.

United Premier Soccer League National Director Paul Lapointe said, "We are very pleased to begin the process of building out the UPSL Women's Division in Texas and specifically the Central Conference. Women's soccer is such a great game and has been such such a big part of why soccer has gained so much traction in America over the years. We welcome John Rexroat, who has a tremendous passion for the game and is committed to seeing the Women's Division thrive in the UPSL. We think this is the start of great things for women's clubs in Texas as we continue to connect American soccer and give Pro Development teams, coaches, players and fans the opportunity to be part of the UPSL Women's Division."

Samba FC San Antonio is a charter member of the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference.

John Rexroat, 52, is the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference Director.

A native of Bolivia, Rexroat was a three-year varsity player and graduated from Los Angeles University High School before moving on to a career that included a seven-season stint as a goalkeeper for Cruz Azul in Mexico's professional second division.

Rexroat also is the Owner and Head Coach of Samba FC San Antonio, a men's Pro Development club currently playing its second season in the UPSL's Central Conference.

United Premier Soccer League Women's Division Central Conference Director John Rexroat said, "I am proud and honored to be named the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference Director. The UPSL is very well known and well respected nationwide. The league has established itself as the No. 1 Pro Development men's league in the United States. I have no doubt that the same title will also soon be added for the UPSL Women's Division. I would like to thank the UPSL – and especially Commissioner Yan Skwara – for the opportunity, and I'm excited about the challenge ahead. I am looking forward to building the UPSL Women's Division in Texas as we showcase women's soccer."

Teams will continue to be added to the UPSL Women's Division Central Conference in the coming weeks and months.
