United Premier Soccer League Announces Vacaville Elite SC as Western Conference Expansion Team

Founded 2009, Northern California-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL

August 9, 2018 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Vacaville Elite Soccer Club as a new member starting with the 2018 Fall Season.

Based in Vacaville (Calif.), Vacaville Elite Soccer Club begins UPSL play in the UPSL Pro Premier Western Conference NorCal Division, and will host its home games at Vacaville Christian High School (1117 Davis Street, Vacaville, CA 95687) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Wild West Conference Manager Nick Arellano, "The UPSL has really grabbed the attention of some great clubs in Northern California, and we're happy to have Vacaville Elite Soccer Club join the Western Conference NorCal Division. Their ownership group has had some great success and even participated in the U.S. Open Cup qualifying rounds, so we know this is a club that puts in the hard work that it takes at this level and we wish Vacaville Elite SC the best as they get ready to kick off with the UPSL this Fall."

Dave Muth is President of Vacaville Elite Soccer Club. A General Building Contractor, Muth, 60, is long-time soccer coach and club administrator.

Brandon Muth is Operations Manager. Muth, 29, is a graduate of Vacaville High School and played at Chico State University before graduate with a BA in Marketing. He currently is a marketing entrepreneur.

Aaron Dickey is General Manager. Dickey, 29, also is a graduate of Vacaville High School and was an all-CCCAA player at Napa Valley College. He currently is the Head Coach of the Boys Varsity program at Fairfield (Calif.) High School.

Vacaville Elite Soccer Club General Manager Aaron Dickey said, "Knowing the owners of UPSL teams like Napa Sporting SC, JASA RWC and AFC Hearts San Francisco, we've been really impressed by the UPSL's growth and the path that the league is providing for young adult players. We want to be a part of something bigger, and we think the UPSL is the best national league for Pro Development currently in Northern California, so we're excited for this opportunity."

Competing in NorCal La Liga since 2009, Vacaville Elite SC has twice won the league (2012 & '13), through which it advanced to its only Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Round appearance in 2013.

Vacaville Elite Soccer Club currently has a Boys Under-17 team but has plans to also kick start a full youth program in 2019.

The club is hosting tryouts at 10 a.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Fairfield (Calif.) High School, and soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 200 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 300-plus teams targeted for 2018 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
